Financials Kick Off Earnings, Weakening Market Momentum, Crude, CPI and My Top Stocks

by | Jul 8, 2024

Markets are relatively flat this morning as we begin earnings season anew on the heels of the Fourth of July holiday…

PepsisCo (PEP) and Delta (DAL report Thursday before the open, and the big banks like JPMorgan (JPM), Citi (C ), and Wells Fargo (WFC) report Friday.

We also have the latest Consumer and Producer Price Index inflation reports coming at 8:30 a.m. ET on Thursday and Friday, respectively, which should help move markets.

A number of Fed speakers are also on deck this week, including Chair Jerome Powell at 10 a.m. ET on Tuesday.

The story I’m hearing so far is that the Fed isn’t going to do anything with interest rates until November, so the bond market (TLT) is in a wait-and-see mode. My gut tells me it’s going to break down and head lower.

Volatility is also rising, which is odd considering the market made new all-time highs on Friday. But as we know, there’s only a few stocks pushing everything higher.

And momentum levels are declining…

I’ll cover all that, my daily hitlist of longs and shorts and more in this morning’s “Premarket Must Watch” video!

P.S. Access the Same Tool as Billionaire Ken Griffin, LIVE at 1 p.m. ET!

We’ve been hitting the jackpot lately with this new tool.

And at 1 p.m. ET today, July 8, I’m pulling back the curtain to show you exactly how I’m doing it.

Here’s a hint…

We’re using the same tool that’s helped Ken Griffin build a $37 billion fortune with his company Citadel Securities.

It’s the tool responsible for handling 1 out of every 3 trades in the entire stock market.

At today’s live event, I’ll show you how to use this tool designed to help you win for the week ahead.

It’ll be an epic reveal that you DON’T want to miss.

See You at 1 O’clock
