Markets are relatively flat heading into the new week as earnings season begins again, especially with Delta reporting Wednesday, and big banks on Friday.
Crude oil, meanwhile, is surging, and I like what I’m seeing — keep an eye on current levels in WTI futures (CLK24), and especially the $94 level.
I think we have a good move up to that level, which should keep energy stocks strong.
Gold is making all-time highs right now and volume is very strong, so we could see another move higher there or at least some consolidation.
Commodities (DBA), however, are also at 10-year highs, which isn’t good in regard to inflation.
Surging oil, gold and commodities say otherwise in regard to inflation falling — and none of this is good for the market…
