Stocks are up nicely premarket Thursday in what’s likely to be a subdued session ahead of potential fireworks on Friday.
Three Federal Reserve members are speaking Friday following the Employment Situation report, and things could get volatile.
But ahead of that, things are likely to be quiet, with defensive stocks likely to lead the way. That said, I have a monster list of potential shorts — trading the short side has been very difficult for several weeks.
That doesn’t mean I think the market is about to tank… It just means the stocks on my list look prime for shorting, but we have to wait and see.
That said, I’m going to be cautious and take it easy today, letting trades come to me, after a fairly broad market rally on Wednesday…
