Netflix reports earnings Thursday after the close, and I’m looking at a short-dated trade with a pretty simple risk:reward setup.
The options market is pricing in about a $6 move. That puts the upside target near $79.50, but if Netflix clears its prior swing high around $78.50, I think it could trade toward $82.
That’s where this gets interesting…
📈 The trade — I’ll share the strike and expiration in today’s video.
💰 The potential — If Netflix trades near $82, those calls could be worth roughly $3. You basically get a triple.
⚠️ The risk — This is probability kind of dice rolling — not a high-probability trade. If Netflix falls, the option expires Friday and the trade is over.
🔍 What I’m watching — Options flow, implied volatility and any large bullish bets before earnings.
For earnings, I like short-dated, risky stuff and cheap stuff. If I’m right, I get out the next day. If I’m wrong — no harm, no foul.
