Most people overcomplicate options. They hear “delta” and “implied volatility” and their eyes glaze over. But here’s the thing…
Once you understand the core mechanics, this stuff clicks fast. Let me break it down the way I do it live…
Calls vs. Puts — The Foundation
Simple. A call means you think the stock is going up. A put means you think it’s going down.
That’s it.
When the MI6 platform flashes a long signal, you’re buying calls.
And since you’re here giving me your time, here’s a long signal from the swing trade tab that hit this morning…

When it flashes short, you’re looking at puts. If you’re brand-new to this, my advice is stick to calls only.
Betting against stocks can mess with your head when you’re just starting out. Most of us are wired to buy things and watch them go up. Shorts are for us crazy people who are more experienced and have a better idea what to look for.
At-the-Money Strikes and DTE
When the platform recommends an “at-the-money” strike, it means the strike price is right where the stock is currently trading. On Tesla (TSLA), for example, with the stock at $360, it was recommending the 360 call.
DTE stands for days till expiration. A 4DTE on Monday means the option expires that Friday — it’s a weekly option. Short-dated, fast-moving, and exactly the kind of setup I love.
Just know that time is working against you the longer you hold, so get in, get your move, and get out.
Implied Volatility — What It’s Actually Telling You
Implied volatility is baked into the option price. High implied volatility usually means there’s a catalyst coming — earnings, news, a conference.
Those options cost more because the expected move is bigger. A low-volatility name like Pfizer (PFE)? Cheaper options, smaller expected moves.
Know what you’re trading before you pull the trigger.
Setting Profit Targets — The Right Way
This is where most beginners drop the ball. They get filled and then just… stare at the screen. Don’t do that. Set your targets the second you’re in the trade.
Here’s exactly how we did it on Carnival (CCL) puts, filled at $0.35 — first target at $0.44, second at $0.52, third at $0.70. That third target is a double, or a 100% move.
I set those as limit orders, good ’til canceled, and walk away. Even if Carnival doesn’t move today, if it hits tomorrow, I’m filled.
On a recent Apple 315 put, the platform was showing a recommended price around $2.57. The rule is simple — I don’t pay more than 10% above the recommended option price.
If it runs before you get filled, let it go. There will always be another setup.
One More Thing…
The MI6 platform updates every 15 minutes, flags repeat signals — what I call double whammies — and gives you your strike, expiration, price and all three profit targets right there on the screen. It does the heavy lifting so you can focus on execution.
It’s not perfect of course. It’s a tool to help you trade and like any tool, results may vary among users.
That’s all for today. You can catch me showing MI6 off all week!
Or you can check this out and get signed up today while we’re running a special deal that will be gone before you know it!
We develop tools and trading strategies to the best of our ability, but no one can guarantee a future outcome. The trading signals presented today were generated by the Mi6 Day Trading Software at the time shown. The MI6 Day Trading Software is a tool for traders and is not a trading service.
