Some of the juicier high-fliers have finished reporting earnings, but there’s still a long way to go this season…
We had a couple of interesting orders hit the News Flow Scanner Wednesday, including a cybersecurity company and an oldie: Airbnb (ABNB).
Airbnb was the first order that caught our eye this morning in what has been a relatively slow day and week with very light trading volume.
We had a couple of interesting orders hit the News Flow Scanner Wednesday, including a cybersecurity company and an oldie: Airbnb (ABNB).
With ABNB reporting after the close Wednesday, market makers expect a move higher or lower of just under $12. And with shares trading in the $156 to $158 range, we saw a bullish order hit in the May monthly expiration, $157.50 strike calls the scanner about 20 minutes after the open.
These were directly in the money when they hit, but the premium invested — about $142K — isn’t exactly anything to write home about.
We also saw a much heftier order hit in the Akamai (AKAM) $105 calls for June, totaling about $407K in premium with AKAM reporting after the close on Thursday.
That’s a nice chunk of premium in an order we hardly if ever see hit the scanner — which always piques our interest!
It’s a little pricey, but I also threw in a big Nvidia (NVDA) order worth nearly $1.9 million in premium.
