I gotta say, I like this trader’s style…
If you’re looking for a lotto ticket earnings play for this week, we saw just such an order hit the tape this morning in the form of nearly a half-million dollars in premium…
The order…
About $490,000 was bet on the Aug. 25 expiration, $9.50 strike calls in shopping mall stalwart Gap Inc. (GPS), which reports earnings Thursday after the close.
So either these calls are going to go to $0 and this trader will lose a half-million bucks… Or the stock will squeeze higher on earnings and they’ll be able to afford a lot more than T-shirts and khakis from Gap.
