The major indexes are flat as the market awaits the latest inflation data.
The March Consumer Price Index and Producer Price Index reports are due out on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.
These reports should not only tell us where we stand in the fight against inflation, but also offer some insight into the pace of future interest rate hikes we’ll see from the Federal Reserve.
In the meantime, we also have several Fed speakers on the schedule, with Bank of Chicago President Austan Goolsbee speaking at 1:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, and Bank of Richmond President Thomas Barkin speaking at 9:10 a.m. ET on Wednesday.
Investors will watch to see where Fed sentiment is leading up to this week’s inflation reports.
In this morning’s stock market recap video, I’ll discuss why the market is starting the week on a slow note… which sector is prone to downside trading action if bonds tank… which sector is holding on for life… how to navigate the 11 major sectors right now… which stocks I’m focused on to the long side… which stocks I’m eyeing for short-selling trades… plus what to expect with tomorrow’s CPI and PPI data, and the Fed!

P.S. Turn Deadbeat Stocks into Tradeable Opportunities
I’ve built my career exploiting the strongest stocks in the market…
But right now, the opportunity in the weakest stocks is too big to ignore.
I don’t have to tell you that stocks are crashing lower. Or that, unlike popular belief, most stocks actually go down over time, not up.
We’ve all experienced it.
But thanks to a single pattern that preceded some of the market’s biggest drops, we can use the worst stocks to find some of the best potential trading opportunities.
That’s why I’m holding a special training session at 1 p.m. ET today to share my strategy!

P.P.S. When it comes to trading, every second counts. And in choppy markets like these, often driven by headlines, stocks can make big moves in a flash.
That’s why I want you to get my latest trading ideas and market updates as fast as possible. So I’m rolling out an all-new option for my students to receive trade alerts with Telegram!
Telegram allows me to get trade ideas, videos and watchlists to you in a matter of seconds.

On Tuesdays, I’ll detail the strongest and weakest sectors in the entire market. I’ll tell you exactly where I’d put my money and go long, and which ones I’d avoid or even short. Using my proprietary momentum indicator, you’ll get actionable ideas on every market sector, every single Tuesday.
