Stocks Are Exploding Higher Thursday But Apple’s the Wild Card to Watch

by | May 1, 2025

Stocks are ripping almost across the board with everything up big and the tech-heavy Nasdaq leading the way.

An hour before the open, the Dow is up 300 points, the S&P 500 1.2% and the Nasdaq 1.8% — all beyond random and very strong.

Microsoft (MSFT) is up over 9% and Meta Platforms (META) is up nearly 7% on strong earnings reports, which is pushing today’s surge.

Not only that, but we have Apple (AAPL) and Amazon (AMZN) on deck to report after the close.

Apple, however, just got smacked down by a judge over its app store practices and the stock is down over 1% this morning and could be set for a tumble.

If AAPL — the biggest company in the world and the Nasdaq 100 (QQQ) by market cap — starts going down, it could drag the rest of the market down with it.

So even though things may look super bullish heading into the open, we still need to be very, very careful…

I’ll cover all that, my daily hitlist of longs and shorts and more in this morning’s “Premarket Must Watch” video!

P.S. P.S. If History Repeats Itself, the Market Could Close the Year in the Red!

You see, when the market loses over 15% of its value, it’s closed in the red for the year 81% of the time…

And now, we could be on the verge of something even bigger. But there’s a way to sidestep the upcoming chaos…
