U.S. stock futures traded higher this morning as Wall Street looks to post its first positive week in the past four — and more in Friday’s stock market recap.
In terms of the economy, both consumer sentiment and new home sales reports come out on Friday. Interest rates are rising, so it shouldn’t be any surprise the consensus is on the lower end of the range…
However, I believe the market has already priced most of that in…
The iShares 20-Plus Year Treasury Bond ETF (Nasdaq: TLT) is now trading back within the range it was before the most recent Consumer Price Index report. This tells me either the broader market is strengthening, or the long bond is taking a wait-and-see approach as a potential recession looms.
If the TLT remains choppy, it’s telling us the long bond is having major doubts that interest rates will go as high as fast as the Federal Reserve has signaled.
In this morning’s stock market recap video, I’ll show you whether the market is approaching fair value or more downside pressure looms… why bonds are entering a choppy cycle… if volatility will drop further… which sector is set to rise over the next few trading sessions… whether oil and food prices will soar or sink in the near term… and the biggest clues in the economy to pay attention to right now.

P.S. When things like the S&P 500, Nasdaq and even crypto are getting slaughtered, there are still a handful of stocks that push higher and higher…
They’re “in motion.”
Wall Street has been using this simple-yet-effective principle to grow its riches for decades…
And we’re seeing this phenomenon take place in a handful of stocks right now.
Most folks who’ve been looking at the market as a whole are probably ready to throw in the towel…
But that’s only because they have no idea how much opportunity is still out there right now…
P.P.S. When it comes to trading, every second counts. And in choppy markets like these, often driven by headlines, stocks can make big moves in a flash.
