U.S. stock futures including the Nasdaq rose Wednesday as the major indices shrugged off Netflix’s 27% drop in premarket trading — and more in Wednesday’s stock market recap.
Netflix Inc. (Nasdaq: NFLX) reported a quarterly subscriber loss for the first time in more than 10 years, with the news dragging down competitors Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. (Nasdaq: WBD), Walt Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS), Paramount Global (Nasdaq: PARA) and Roku Inc. (Nasdaq: ROKU).
Dow stock International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE: IBM) beat on both earnings and revenue, sending shares up 2.5% premarket.
Tesla Inc. (Nasdaq: TSLA) reports quarterly earnings after the bell Wednesday.
Investors are eager to hear how the company’s Shanghai factory is performing amid continued lockdowns in China due to COVID-19, as well as whether CEO Elon Musk will discuss his $43 billion proposal to buy Twitter Inc. (NYSE: TWTR).

That’s exactly what we do with my Super Stocks!
And I have a special video on exactly how this algorithmic strategy works…
P.P.S. When it comes to trading, every second counts. And in choppy markets like these, often driven by headlines, stocks can make big moves in a flash.
That’s why I want you to get my latest trading ideas and market updates as fast as possible. So I’m rolling out an all-new option for my students to receive trade alerts with Telegram!
