Markets Mixed to Kick Off What Will Be a Fragmented, Choppy Trading Week

by | Jun 17, 2024

Join me LIVE at 10 a.m. ET for my Pre-Election Forecast — and my SIX BIG projections!

We’re seeing more divergence to kick off the new holiday-shortened trading week, with the Nasdaq leading while the Dow is down.

The stock market is closed Wednesday for Juneteenth, so markets will likely be choppy without a big directional bias.

The bond market (TLT), meanwhile, is falling, and that will put some pressure on the stock market. Gold is currently consolidating and building a head and shoulders pattern — but it’s not time to enter a new gold trade just yet…

Wait for the bond market to fall to its 50-day moving average, or it will be a mistake to enter gold.

Volatility is moving higher but still within range, and 42% of stocks are trading above their 50-day moving averages right now… But only 38% are above that line on the Nasdaq.

I’ll cover all that, my daily hitlist of longs and shorts and more in this morning’s “Premarket Must Watch” video!
