Tech is ripping again premarket while the Dow is lagging a bit with institutional flow coming into the market late Tuesday.
That shouldn’t come as a surprise because we’ve been talking about this divergence, which makes day and swing trading more difficult.
Anytime we see a rally in tech, that means speculative traders are looking ahead, which is super important. A lot of big stocks like Apple (AAPL), Nvidia (NVDA) and Google parent Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL) look strong right now.
The 10-year bond, meanwhile, keeps rising because yield is going down. And yield is going down because the JOLTS report Tuesday said we have less job openings right now. Is that because there’s less jobs available, or less people looking?
We won’t know until we get the Employment Situation report Friday. If employment cools off, then the Fed could cut rates faster, so it’s giving hope to the market about the potential for rate cuts.
I still don’t believe we’re anywhere near rate cuts yet…
