2 Gold Stocks, Retail Sales, Critical QQQ Levels and Fastest-Moving Tickers!

by | Aug 15, 2024

>>>ASK JEFFRY ANYTHING ABOUT GOLD — LIVE at 2 p.m. ET TODAY!<<<

The market got some juice this morning on the heels of the latest Retail Sales data, which was much better than expected.

Retail Sales — consumer spending makes up about two-thirds of the U.S. economy — rose 1.0% versus expectations of 0.3% for the month of July.

Jobless claims also fell about 7,000 to 227,000, but this number hasn’t changed much in a long time.

Along with strong retail sales, Walmart (WMT) is also surging, up over 8% on earnings.

For tech stocks, Cisco Systems (CSCO) is also up over 8% on the heels of strong earnings.

Crude oil is pinched between major moving averages, so I think it will be in the twilight zone for a while. I would be very careful here…

Gold is above its eight-day moving average, and I like how it’s building an ascending triangle — I even have a couple of stocks to share…

I’ll cover all that, my daily hitlist of longs and shorts and more in this morning’s “Premarket Must Watch” video!
