We’ve finally reached the end of the first-quarter earnings season road, with only a handful of companies left to report.
But that doesn’t mean trading action has slowed… Quite the contrary, especially when it comes to the hottest trade of the year: chip stocks.
And the chip stock of the day hitting the News Flow Scanner is our old friend Micron (MU), which was up over 7.5% Monday morning.
And with a bullish bounce like that, there’s no shortage of MU orders hitting the scanner… In fact, by 1 p.m. ET, we’ve already seen nine orders, eight calls and one lonely put the buyer is probably regretting at this point.
Seven of the orders expire in April on either the 12 or 26, ranging from $125 to $130 strikes with shared trading around $126 this afternoon.
There’s also a September monthly expiration, $200 strike call — the biggest order of the day as far as premium ($437K) — and a December monthly $145 call on the books.
We also saw several bullish buys in Lyft (LYFT) with earnings coming up at the beginning of May, and a longer-dated buy in ExxonMobil (XOM).
