Earnings order flow has all but fallen off a cliff so far this week. So instead, we’ll take a look at some interesting orders hitting today, starting with our old friend Meta Platforms (META), which is of course the parent company for Facebook.
META is the one FANG stock that’s been on a tear of late…
Though down a smidge today, META is up nearly 8% this week, and a big-money buyer stepped in to grab the Sept. 13 expiration, $560 strike calls with shares trading around $526 today.
Market makers expect a move of about $39.33 by the expiration date, so this is well within the realm of possibility. In fact, during that near-8% rise the past week equates to $36 and change worth of movement in the underlying stock.
We also saw a fairly sizable, longer-dated order in Starbucks (SBUX) after Tuesday’s big surge, and an order in a ticker we rarely if ever see, Blue Owl Capital (OWL).
