In Wednesday’s Blitz Daily, we’re looking at the order flow in financial technology company Affirm Holdings.
We’ve covered this ticker a few times before. It’s been in the news a lot over the past month for striking up “buy now, pay later” partnerships with giants like Shopify, Amazon, and Walmart.
But Wednesday morning, news broke that it had signed yet another partnership. This time it’s with Target, and just ahead of the onslaught of the busy holiday shopping season.
The news brought institutional investors in, sending shares up $17… They jumped on the weekly $120 and $130 calls.
We’re also seeing continued buying in energy stocks like Devon Energy, Marathon Oil, Chevron and Exxon Mobil… Especially when there’s blood in the streets.
When these energy names drop, as they did Wednesday morning, traders come in and buy them up with both hands. And I have two more energy stocks in particular seeing unusual order flow today…
- Affirm Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: AFRM): Oct. 8 $120 CALL.
- Nordstrom Inc. (NYSE: JWN): Oct. 8 $29 CALL.
- Schlumberger Ltd. (Nasdaq: SLB): Nov. 19 $35 CALL
- Occidental Petroleum Corp. (NYSE: OXY): June 17, 2022, $32 CALL
