Guys, we’re finally entering a new trading month — which is historically the most volatile and bearish month on Wall Street… But first, we need to figure out what the hell just happened during September.
We just went through the first significantly bearish time on the markets for the first time in 2021, which I expect to be a huge game changer going into October… And it’s the reason why I compiled a list of the best stock indexes to watch in October 2021.
But before I dive into that, I want to go over some things that happened during the last week of September that traders need to pay attention to going into next week.
I also really want to discuss a mega news story that pissed me off — and should have investors disgusted…
The Best Stock Indexes Investors Need to Watch in October 2021
Right now, I’m looking at a chart that shows how all the different indexes performed in September… and yikes.
Things are not looking good for the market. We saw the S&P 500 trade down 4.76% in a month while the Nasdaq fell over 5%.
The Russell 2000 sank 3.06% — which I find interesting because the seasoned investor in me says there’s a ton of upside there — and the beloved Cathie Wood fund, ARK Innovation ETF (NYSEArca: ARKK), is down almost 10%.
The VIX, or volatility index, exploded by about 44% — which I expect to go even higher in the fall — and the 10-year Treasury yield went back above the 150 level (or 1.5%).

Traders also need to pay close attention to what’s going on with Robinhood this month.

You can’t get much more dirty and corrupt… Do you really want to have your money in a place that clearly does not have your best interest at heart?
